What is a load sensing valve used for? How does the load sensing valve work? Is this a brake proportioning valve? There are three types of proportioning valve in use today: master cylinder mounte combination valve mounted and load sensing.


Master cylinder mounted valves are located on the master cylinder and screwed into the fluid ports between the master cylinder and the brake lines. Combination valve mounted valves are part of the combination valve along with the pressure differential switch and the metering valve. A load sensing valve is normally bolted to the inside of the rear chassis. Its function is to regulate the amount of brake fluid pressure from the brake master cylinder going to the rear axle. Description:the lightweight body adopts infrared sensing obstacle avoidance, air pressure setting, gravity sensing and other technologies.


Feedback is always welcome so please comment with any tips. The valve opens proportionally to the rear axle loads ie, the higher weight load the stronger rear brake. On models L and S, those with single wheel, the proportional valve have dual circuit, instead on models C, twin wheels, the valve has only one circuit, hence the price difference.


Brake Metering Valves. A brake metering valve , similar to the proportioning valve , is also used to achieve balanced braking. These valves are often integrate along with the brake warning switch inside of the combination valve.


Front-disc rear-drum brake systems use the valves. As a vehicle moves forwar the front brakes do most of the work. GES Hydraulics, based in Peterborough, is currently working on a cheaper, simpler load - sensing valve that is manually operated.

Effectively, a rotary restrictor valve plumbed in to the brake line. It has pipes going in and out of the valve , complete with a new bleed screw. The valve is attached to the chassis mounting bracket usually with two nuts, from the bottom you attach your original diagonal rod (also called the spring) and rubber gaiter to the new valve. The proportioning valves are found on vehicles with front disc, rear drum brake systems. They keep the rear brakes from locking up during sudden, hard braking by restricting fluid pressure to the rear brakes.

Brake load sensing valve

The braking power required to stop a trailer when fully laden can cause its wheels to lock when it is unladen, unless regulated by a load - sensing valve. We can supply an hydraulic load - sensing valve designed for agricultural trailers which, when correctly installe will help to prevent wheel-locking and tyre wear. Broken or faulty valves can result in potentially dangerous braking. An automatic correction is possible using two methods. ETB 0Gauge Kit can be used to check the input and output pressures.


Load sensing valve. The site may feel slow and unresponsive at times. You can just see the spring that connects it to the rear suspension.


Brake load sensing valve

My understanding is that the linkage controls a valve that alters how much brake force is applied to the back wheels depending on the load you have. Put some fat blokes in the back seats and you get more or less brakes at the back. The load compensator valve has nothing to do whatsoever with un-even braking on the rear wheels.


The valve will only close off the brake pressure to the rear when the rear is not loaded. This is to avoid rear wheels blocking. As the car is loaded up the lever is pushed to open the valve and allow more pressure to the brakes. Very common on most fwd cars. They have cable tied it to open the valve and increase the pressure to the brakes.


The combination valve is the proportioning valve at the master cylinder, that provides relative distribution to the front and rear brakes , notices if there is a significant presser differential between the systems, etc. This valve , found at the rear axle, is also a proportioning valve but is called a load sensor or height sensor.
