Driver license theory test

What is a driving theory test? How to test for provisional driving licence? Do I need to take the theory test? You usually need to take the theory test before you can get your full car driving licence.


You do not need to take the car theory test if you: want to upgrade an automatic car licence to a manual.

The Theory test must be completed if you want a licence for a new category of vehicle. However, if you want to upgrade within a vehicle category you will not need to take a driving theory test.
