Designed from the ground up to meet the demands of some of the most discerning motorcyclists, the Tiger 8comes highly specified and delivers a unique experience for the adventure-minded rider. The XC has more aggressive off-road looks, including a small beak-like high-level mudguard at the front, similar to the BMW F800GS, a bike the Tiger is designed to compete against. Overall the XC is longer, wider, taller and heavier than the XR. Armed with a inch spoked front wheel that allows a full choice of off-road rubber rather than the inch cast version on the standard bike, the XC has 40mm longer suspension, bigger 45mm forks and wider more off-road suitable bars. The XC sits 35mm taller and has a slightly longer trail, therefore a longer wheelbase, but only by 13mm.


With 220mm travel in the front forks, the XC’s suspension has 40mm more travel than the standard Tiger 800. The rear wheel has 215mm of travel, 45mm over the standard Tiger 800. Four stroke, transverse three cylinder, DOHC, valve per cylinder.
